FEES AND FUNDING
Vale Therapy is a private counselling service, welcoming clients who either self-fund their sessions or via a charity/work funded entry. I can invoice employers who wish to provide funded therapy for a staff member. The first session rate is £35 for both individuals and couples.
Individuals £45 - £60 and couples £50 - £75 on a sliding scale per 1 hour session. payment is due at the end of each session. There are concessions available please ask when making your first appointment.
You can pay for your sessions by cash, card or by cheque payable to Michael Pearce MBE, or by Bank transfer.
CONFIRMING YOUR APPOINTMENT
Once you have contacted me to set up an appointment for an initial counselling session, I will make the arrangements for you and book a session time to suit you. At this point, I am committing to our appointment. So I also ask for your commitment by requesting that you give me your details to reserve the appointment time (unless you have booked via a company or charity).
TERMS OF SERVICE FOR FURTHER SESSIONS
In your initial session, we will cover the therapy contract which you will receive a signed copy. This outlines my commitment to you, such as working ethically and responsibly, my promise of confidentiality, as well as arrangements for payment and scheduling sessions. It’s in your interests to have a therapy contract, in place from the second session onwards, so that you know exactly where you stand.
I am commited to offering you regular appointments, usually on a weekly basis, because of the importance of maintaining the therapy conversation in ongoing and continuous sessions with me. This approach supports the opportunity to build a personalised working relationship so that you benefit from continuity.
HOW MANY SESSIONS AND ENDINGS
Many people ask how many sessions they will need. There is no minimum and there is no maximum number of sessions. You get to decide how many sessions you want to have. The only thing I ask is that once you tell me you want to end the sessions, you return for one more session called an ending session. This will allow you and me the opportunity to reflect on the scope of the counselling work we have done together. You can end at any point by attending one further session.
MY CANCELLATION POLICY
Missed appointments, rescheduled bookings or cancelled sessions are chargeable in full.
If you are unable to make your regular appointment or booked session, please contact me, as I may be able to offer you an alternative session that week, subject to availability. But if not, then your booked or regular appointment will be chargeable.
You can be assured that I will respect your personal information, according to the ethical codes of the BACP professional body. I will keep your personal details safely and will not divulge any of your details to any third party.
