I understand that sometimes during life, we can become stuck in patterns of behaviour and thoughts that are no longer purposeful. These patterns may also hinder our personal and professional development and growth. A lot of what counselling entails is exploring the process of self-actualisation. This is a process of natural change, which means getting in touch with what is our deepest truth, supported by the therapeutic relationship which provides an atmosphere of trust and acceptance. I am on hand to support you throughout this process.

Vale Therapy, offers you tools and insights to develop your own strengths and capabilities. As a Humanistic Integrative therapist my work may involve using models from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Psychodynamic or Psychoanalytic perspectives, Transactional Analysis or Person-Centred Therapy. You will develop your own solutions and resolution, supported by me along the way.

Psychotherapy literally translated means ‘healing or nursing of the soul’ and is derived from the ancient Greeks and their understanding of human nature and the psyche. It is a therapy that works at a deep level.


Individual therapy focuses on specific and current issues and works toward ways of resolving these problems by increasing your understanding and confronting destructive patterns with a goal of working towards beneficial change. Vale Therapy offers a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment for you to work on the issues that you present. 


Couple counselling can help you take time to see your relationship from a fresh perspective. You and your partner have an opportunity to explore with your therapist your roles, desires and behaviour, to think about what you want from your relationship and what you can do to change your situation for the better. 


By facilitating your family and allowing them to explore and overcoming difficulties through better communication and changing detrimental patterns of behaviour, will enable you to work together and improve family dynamics.


Adolescence is a developmental phase and a period of change that is of critical importance. Adolescent counselling aims to engage with the everyday problems faced, and through increased awareness of thoughts and feelings, to develop communication skills and improve self-esteem.
